The Charger Daytona SRT concept marks an exciting milestone at Landmark Dodge of Morrow as it introduces the brand's first electric muscle car. Once just a fledgling dream, it's ready to hit the road, staying true to its sleek and futuristic design. The front showcases a patented retro-inspired R-wing bumper, improving battery cooling, while the back flaunts a striking Ring of Fire LED taillight design, bringing back the iconic Fratzog logo—symbolizing power and precision.
The 2024 Charger Daytona is larger, wider, and taller, sitting on a longer 121-inch wheelbase. It will also come in eight expertly curated colors, including bold shades like Peel Out, Destroyer Grey, and Bluedicrous. Built on the STLA Large platform, this versatile architecture is designed to accommodate both electric and gas powertrains, ensuring powerful performance across the board. The end result here is a truly “wired and whirled” version of a snarling and decently dangerous performance beast.
The electrified Charger Daytona Scat Pack offers Hellcat Redeye-level performance, roaring to life with the world’s first Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust. For muscle car enthusiasts, the Hurricane engine-powered SIXPACK models provide a gas option that delivers more horsepower and torque than the outgoing Hemi engines.
Standard with all-wheel drive, the 2024 Charger Daytona runs on a high-voltage 400-volt propulsion system, with a powerful battery pack and electric drive modules (EDMs) on both axles. The front EDM has a disconnect feature to enhance range, while the rear EDM includes a limited-slip differential for better traction. Together, they produce 335 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque, ensuring top-tier performance.
The Charger Daytona R/T comes with a Direct Connection Stage 1 upgrade kit, boosting the power to 496 horsepower, while the Scat Pack features a Stage 2 kit, pushing it to a whopping 670 horsepower. Even base models can be upgraded with these thrill-laced kits for high-performance thrills.
Performance-wise, Dodge predicts the Scat Pack will hit 60 mph in 3.3 seconds and crush the quarter-mile in 11.5 seconds. For comparison, the 2023 Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye does 0-60 mph in 3.6 seconds, with a 10.6-second quarter-mile. The R/T will reach 60 mph in 4.7 seconds, finishing the quarter-mile in 13.1 seconds. Top speeds are projected at 134 mph for the Scat Pack and 137 mph for the R/T.
The all-electric Charger Daytona borrows exciting features from its gas-powered predecessors, including the PowerShot button on the steering wheel for an extra 40-horsepower boost. Exclusive to the Scat Pack is Donut Mode, allowing for rear-wheel burnout fun, and Drift Mode, offering adjustable slip angles for precise slides. Other features include line lock, launch control, and a race prep system to optimize battery performance for track days. Debuting in this model is the Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust System, bringing back the deep growl of Mopar muscle cars through innovative dual passive radiators, producing a sound Dodge proudly deems “worthy of the Brotherhood of Muscle.”
Inside the cabin, you'll find the impressive 64-color "Attitude Adjustment" ambient lighting system, offering a range of customizable hues and intensities to match your mood. Standard features include a crisp nine-speaker Alpine sound system, comfortable cloth and leatherette seating, and the convenience of a digital key for seamless entry and start.
