As the warm weather peaks around the corner here at Landmark Dodge of Morrow, we are eager to bring on one of the most fun seasons for a 4x4 excursion! The Jeep line has been made a household name due to its accessible off-road capability and cheerful demeanor. Everyone loves a namesake that is excellent regarding throwing a huge party, and Florida’s scenic Daytona Beach set the scene for a stunning 16 mile stretch populated with more than 10,000 action-ready Jeeps.
This colorful event features everything from historic Jeep 4x4s to the very latest Wrangler 4XE plug-ins! After tracking attendance each year, at least 3,500 Jeeps are expected to take part in the event, but this year the all-terrain conquering diehards respectably came out in full force. In the Sunshine State’s Volusia County, it was estimated that an astounding 40,000+ Jeeps were present for the 10-day event. Vendors who were in charge of the display groups could tell from their day’s work that this was a record-setting turnout for the epic event.
The huge party's official organizers also claimed that this year’s attendance was well over last year’s 230,000 fans. This was another significant milestone, as 10,000 Jeeps were strutting their amiable presence during the Jeep Beach Parade alone. There was an incredibly awesome new 2024 Gladiator special edition present to honor this event, along with a special edition Wrangler 4xe. Both of these limited-run models now feature signature Mopar leather seats, off-road tires, locking differentials, and other features designed for taking on the beach.
The 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe is the top-selling hybrid in the nation, with the Jeep Beach 4xe model designed to stand out smartly on the shore. The Jeep Wrangler 4xe now comes standard with hardtop headlines, Sunrider FlipFlop, special embroidered leather seats, and unique “Jeep Beach” decals. The modern 4xe powertrain now delivers 21 miles of all-electric range, while boasting an eco-friendly 49 MPGe. Drivers have been loving the option to go all-in and source pure energy during the wet n’ wild ride or save it for inclement spurts of highway driving.
The 2024 Gladiator Jeep Beach enjoyed a production run of just 250 very special models and flexed much like a burly lifeguard on duty with the added convenience of a truck bed in tow. This is the vehicle that Car and Driver billed as “an all-out party in a pickup”, while also loving its summer-ready removable top and doors. Along with the rivaling Toyota Tacoma, it’s one of the only two pickups of the year to offer a manual transmission option. There’s an XXL 12.3-inch infotainment screen inside, and it even comes as standard equipment on the base Sport trim level.
While this event celebrates Jeep’s fully-fledged ability to take on surf and sand, the gathering also has a side that provides much-needed outreach. Jeep Beach has proudly donated more than $4 million to charities in need, with more than 150 non-profits benefiting from the festivities. Daytona Beach has a very illustrated history of cars racing directly on the sand over the years, and this opportunity brings back the traditions of eagerly bucking pavement for sandals and swimwear. There was also a display here featuring Easter Jeep Safari concepts, as these terrain-conquering models swarm the challenging ruts and canyons of Moab each year.
