The 1500 Big Horn and higher trim levels will use this latest Uconnect 5 operating system on a 12-inch portrait display.

The 2022 Ram 1500 model offers five engine choices, with each providing its own benefits and personality. The 6.6- liter V6 with eTorque offers 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque, and is now offered standard on the Tradesman, Tradesman HFE, Big Horn, Lone Star, and Rebel. An understandably well-received instant favorite is the EcoDiesel V6, which boasts 260 horsepower and 480 lbs of torque, and is applicable to every model other than the Tradesman HFE and TRX. 

The 2-liter supercharged V8 with 702 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque is another favorite, paired uniquely with its own transmission and providing the necessary strength for any task that comes your way. The Cars.com editorial staff concluded that the 2021 Ram model may be the best for now, citing the Uconnect 5 and its potential for over-the-air updates as well as the current available discounts.
