The Motor Trend staff recently hopped in a fully-loaded top-shelf 2021 Chrysler 300 S and drove it to and from the office to get a feel for the luxury sedan. The 300 S has seen a major update to ensure safety with advanced driver assist features such as adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist, and the instrument cluster has been completely reworked to offer a very fresh new look.
The instrument panel’s blue lighting and the graining on the soft-touch dash provide a unique and upscale touch. The 3.6-liter V6 under the hood provides 300 horsepower and 264 lb-ft of torque. Customers can also choose a more powerful option in the 5.7-liter Hemi V8, which reaches 60 mph in just 5.3 seconds.
As far as the all-important handling category, Motor Trend says the 300 S feels considerably sportier than the Avalon or Maxima. Even while holding a 600-pound advantage over the Nissan Maxima, the 300 S still ruthlessly puts together 19/30/23 mpg EPA city/highway/combined ratings.
The Motor Trend team concluded there are few to no other cars in any class that can come close to matching the 300 S. A controlled and easy drive, the 300 S will exceed all your expectations!
