Everyone here at Landmark Dodge has long had so much love for the Ram line, as it fully displays the grit, capability, and massive towing capabilities that customers demand while on the hunt for a loaded work or fun-time truck. The newly refreshed 2023 Ram 3500 heavy-duty pickup truck was just spotted during a thorough test drive out in the public, courtesy of the experts on staff at GM Authority. This particular model offers up a 4-door crew cab body style and dual-rear-wheel drivetrain.
The Night Edition Package also provides a variety of sweet exterior upgrades and enhancements that are all about snazzy looks. This allows you to light up all on 2500 and 3500 limited models, featuring a black limited grille with Ram letters, a lavish all-black interior, sleek black wheels, and other super cool black exterior accents. It boasts blacked-out 20-inch aluminum wheels and wickedly cool black tailgate badging that perfectly accents a modern truck with a well-rounded urban stance. There's also a new Ram air hood treatment seen on this prototype, which on this ride was cloaked in heavy black and white camouflage.
Many diehard truck fans always ask us first what's under the hood, and this refreshed 2023 Ram dually is equipped with the best: power is arrived from a 6.7 liter inline 6 Cummins turbo diesel engine, although it's not quite yet known for sure if this specific model will run the high output engine variant or the standard engine variant. We sure are pining for the high output version always, which cranks out 420 horsepower and 1075 lb-ft of torque. We can all agree that there's no end in sight to the constantly rising popularity of truck ownership right here in Atlanta, and Ram has been making some important inroads on the light and heavy-duty segments as well to make the entire lineup that much more appealing.
Remaining every bit the exceptional pickup it always has been, the 2022 Ram was billed by Autoblog as “compelling and perfectly designed”, with a knock-out interior and shockingly spot-on road manners. New for the 2022 model was the brand-new Uconnect 5 tech interface, which is four times faster and is equipped with 3 times more memory than Uconnect 4. The Trailer Tow Group sees the addition of 4 LED lights directly above the hitch, and a health-conscious and savvy sign of the times is fully complete with the new Clean Air filtering system.
We know that nearly all drivers now have safety as their top priority, and the incoming Ram models will offer anti-lock brakes, stability control, front-impact airbags, side-impact airbags, overhead airbags, pretensioners, and a useful ignition disable device that will prevent the engine from starting if the correct original manufacturer key is not used. Models equipped with the air suspension offer adjustable ride heights that aid fuel efficiency and all-important off-road ability, and the Ram 1500’s towing capacity resides at a very robust 12,750 pounds.
