The Ram Line has long been held in high regard here at Landmark Dodge of Morrow for its incredibly luxurious interior, always-capable powertrains, and top-of-the-line offroad abilities. The State Fair of Texas was the scene when the brand-new 2500 Heavy Duty Rebel was shown to the public, situated just between the Laramie and Power Wagon and ready to blast through tough and demanding terrain near us such as the Currahee Mountain Trail or Sarah’s Creek Road!
This truck brings with it hardcore off-road upgrades such as an electronic-locking differential, and rear limited-slip differential. There are the crucially protective skid plates situated underneath to protect the more sensitive elements from damaging rocks and jagged terrain, and the optional 12,000-lb Warn Winch can help get you out of the mud if you are ever in a pinch and stuck in the wild. Engine duties are taken care of with help from the 6.4-liter Hemi gas V8, and you can also opt for a 6.7-liter Cummins diesel with almost double the torque.
The gas engine cranks out 410 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque, with the diesel dutifully delivering 370 horsepower and 850 lb-ft of torque. Towing ability for the rebel is an astounding 16.870 lbs, and it can haul 3,140 lbs when properly equipped. The 5-link coil design with available rear air suspension is a primary form of assistance for very heavy loads, and the general styling aesthetic follows the Power Wagon’s visual cues. The Rebel is available with a crew cab, and a 6’ 4” bed that is ideal for the instances when you’re once again asked for a helping hand with your buddy’s move!
There are also other upgrades to make this appetizing and class-ruling piece of work even more appealing and awesome. A few that stand out as definitely above average for us here at Landmark are 20-inch wheels, spray-in bed liner, LED lighting, and a bed step system. Ram offers three interior configurations that boast charismatic extra comfort cloth front bucket or bench seats, Bristol leather upholstery, or Natura Plus leather upholstery.
Technology has always been a forte that the entire Ram line has received massive props for, and the Rebel comes standard with 360-degree surround-view camera system and comes standard with an 8.4-inch touchscreen that can be upgraded to the 12-inch model. Optional safety technology additions to consistently watch over you during changing weather and conditions include adaptive cruise control, automatic high beam headlights, blind spot warning, a rearview camera mirror, and lane-keeping assistance.
Successfully checking all the boxes for towing, capability, and sought-after tech, The Ram 2500 Heavy Duty Rebel never disappoints, leaving out just-for-show tidbits that simply get in the way. Come down to see us here at Landmark Dodge this Fall and check out this along with all our other trucks, cars, and SUVs perfect for tailgating and pre-holiday fun!
