These days, people frequently choose their truck based on towing capacity and loading ability, but customers here at Landmark Dodge have also shown interest in luxury features. What was once just a cabin to travel to the next job site and a power-laced machine has now become a sought-after and an excellent option for passengers to enjoy the ride in as well. The all-new Ram 2500 and 3500 are a heavy-hitting pair of hauling pros that are luring all sorts of new customers that would not have been interested in trucks before.
The 2022 update for both trucks saw some technical and mechanical changes, and you’ll choose from three powerful engines with impressive torque outputs to expertly get the tough jobs done. The first engine option is a standard 6.0-liter V8 with 410 horsepower and 429 very capable lb-ft of torque. The second is one of our all-time favorites: the 6.7-liter Cummins diesel inline 6, which cranks out 370 horsepower and 850 lb-ft of torque. Last and most definitely not least is the high-output version of this one, making an impressive 420 horsepower and 1,075 lb-ft of torque.
All these fantastic powertrains have been praised by truck enthusiasts for years, as they are undoubtedly all more than enough to get you moving and tackle anything from routine to the most rugged and demanding terrain. Trucks backed by diesel and this very staggering amount of torque can load and tow more weight than their gas-powered relatives, but the 6.0-liter V8 is a bit quicker than the diesel-powered models. The current model’s cabin has offered what one very well-known off-roader in Colorado claimed was a “legendary” amount of comfort and space, and the entry-level models come with an 8.0-inch standard touchscreen infotainment system.
Many drivers are absolutely thrilled with the upgrade on the screen to the 12.0-inch, which adds to the fun and functionality with the assistance of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The different forms of protection during the drive with new technology have been amazing for us here at Landmark to watch over the last decade, as options such as adaptive cruise control, an automatic emergency braking system, and blind spot monitoring along with 360-degree camera take the safeguarding task to an entirely new level.
The 3500 is offered in a Tradesman model that is available with the regular cab and an 8-foot bed, as well as a crew cab with 6’ 4” bed, or the standard cab with an 8-foot box. With the Big Horn trim level, you can set everything up excitedly just as you can with the Tradesman, with the addition of a mega cab and 6’ 4” bed. Since everything else concerning this year’s Ram is so incredibly awesome, we’d also have to recommend the top-of-the-line 17-speaker configuration, allowing every single mile driven to be commemorated with the crystal-clear and booming sounds of your choice!
