The 2022 update for both trucks saw some technical and mechanical changes, and you’ll choose from three powerful engines with impressive torque outputs to expertly get the tough jobs done. The first engine option is a standard 6.0-liter V8 with 410 horsepower and 429 very capable lb-ft of torque. The second is one of our all-time favorites: the 6.7-liter Cummins diesel inline 6, which cranks out 370 horsepower and 850 lb-ft of torque. Last and most definitely not least is the high-output version of this one, making an impressive 420 horsepower and 1,075 lb-ft of torque.
All these fantastic powertrains have been praised by truck enthusiasts for years, as they are undoubtedly all more than enough to get you moving and tackle anything from routine to the most rugged and demanding terrain. Trucks backed by diesel and this very staggering amount of torque can load and tow more weight than their gas-powered relatives, but the 6.0-liter V8 is a bit quicker than the diesel-powered models.
