As we guide customers to their ideal car or truck for 2021 at Landmark Dodge, it's very easy for us to remember the days when trucks were not always full to the brim with abundant technology features and the most comfortable seats in the business. This has changed drastically in the last 15 years or so, and the Ram 1500 Limited is one model that made its mark on the current industry.
Just a few days ago the Ram celebrated its anniversary with a bang, unveiling the 2022 Ram 1500 Limited 10th Anniversary Edition. Similar to the pickups that came before it from the same lineup, the anniversary edition does not sacrifice its hard working personality, staying tough at the core with either the 5.7-liter V8 paired with a mild-hybrid system or the 3.0-liter EcoDiesel as powerful options. There's been a brand new blue paint dip created for each truck, and a multifunction tailgate added as standard equipment.
The show-stealer is still the interior, as it is lined with quilted leather for the seats and door panel inserts, a suede headliner, and bits of aluminum to help trim and bezels stand out. A few tenth-anniversary badges, graphics, and a metal finishing for the pedals help top things off visually. This is an amazingly capable workhorse with its standard 3.6-liter engine, and there are rumors of a hybrid powertrain approaching 400 horsepower coming soon.
Even when long routes offer up true tests of patience and endurance, the Ram 1500 Crew Cab provides an ideal place to rest weary muscles, with enough headroom and legroom to sprawl out in true comfort. Transmission is an 8-speed automatic throughout the trim range, and the cab's suspension feels relaxed and comfortable. The steering allows for accessible maneuverability and impeccable feedback.
The new 360-view Ram Trailer camera system will add the TFLTruck camera, and allow the driver to place up to four additional cameras around the vehicle. The trailer view kit comes with a camera mount, camera, cable mount, extension cable, and control module, and can work up to 53 feet from the truck cab.
Learning from last year’s events, a new air filtration system that runs courtesy of the N95 biofilter has been added. The standard Ram 1500 line is always expecting to add more extras geared for off-road use in the future, and the innovation never stops!
