The larger optional 5.7-liter V8 engine delivers 357 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque, with a tow raiting of 7,200 lbs. Both are paired with an 8-speed transmission, and rear-wheel drive comes as standard with an optional 4WD upgrade.

The Grand Cherokee L saves more fuel with standard stop-start technology. You can go even further in the hefty V8 with cylinder deactivation that kicks in when the acceleration level rises and works overtime to increase fuel economy at an average rate of around 10%.
