THE MOST POWERFUL COMPACT UV5: HORNET R/T
Unlike a bee, a hornet stings more than once — so does the newest Dodge. Hornet GT orders are open now, and in Spring 2023, the first electrified Dodge will emerge: the Hornet R/T Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV).
If you think hybrid means a less aggressive Dodge, you’d be wrong. The Hornet R/T architecture will combine power from the 1.3L Turbo engine, an electric motor, plus a boost of power from the segment-exclusive PowerShot, delivering an estimated combined 285+ horsepower. When activated, PowerShot also produces a neck-straining 383 lb-ft of instant torque. That’s an expected additional 20 horsepower and 88 lb-ft of torque more than the GT model.
