2011 Dodge Charger Pursuit
August 24, 2010 , Auburn Hills, Mich.

America’s high-performance police vehicle – the all-new 2011 Dodge Charger Pursuit – has arrived, providing law-enforcement the best combination of tactical technology, safety, power, efficiency and an iconic design that makes any suspect stop in a panic.

The all-new Dodge Charger Pursuit’s performance suspension tuning, heavy-duty anti-lock vented-disc brakes (ABS), front- and rear-stabilizer bars, 18-inch performance tires on steel wheels and two-mode police-specific Electronic Stability Control (ESC) calibration make it hot-pursuit ready. For world-class ride and performance handling dynamics, the Dodge Charger Pursuit features a rear-wheel drive design and redesigned front and rear multi-link suspension geometries to deliver a smooth comfortable ride for law enforcement officers who spend long days protecting our streets.

Designed with the guidance of the brand’s Police Advisory Board, the 2011 Dodge Charger Pursuit’s mobile-command interior features a Police Interface Module for easy equipment integration, police-duty front seats, column-mounted automatic transmission with Auto Stick, red/white LED interior lighting for night-vision equipment and more.

Dodge Charger Pursuit surrounds the heroic men and women who protect us with uncompromising safety and security equipment, including standard advanced multistage driver and front-passenger air bags, seat-mounted side-thorax air bags, supplemental side-curtain air bags for front and rear outboard passengers, driver’s knee bag, tire-pressure monitoring and more.

Behind its sinister face, the Dodge Charger Pursuit offers an all-new standard E-85 capable 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine with variable-valve timing (VVT) and available legendary 5.7-liter HEMI™ V-8 engine with fuel-saving Multi-displacement System (MDS).

The all-new 2011 Dodge Charger Pursuit will be available for ordering in September 2010!

Spy Shots-New 2011 Dodge Charger on the Fast and Furious movie set

Wednesday, August 25th, 2010

It is confirmed that the 2011 Dodge Charger will indeed receive a new full-width taillamp treatment that looks a lot like that of it’s two-door Challenger kin.  These spy shots were captured by Jose Rosario during filming in Puerto Rico for the latest installment in the Fast and The Furious movie franchise. The photos show not only the addition of the full length rear taillights but also the aggressive front end and new interior.

The 2011 model’s interior, reveals a much more cohesive look. A new three-spoke steering wheel with redundant audio controls beckons, as does what appears to be a start button. The gauge cluster avoids the four gauge layout of the current car for a more unified cluster that’s marked out by a liberal helping of satin gunmetal trim and vertically oriented air vents bookend a new infotainment screen. Immediately below the screen, the Charger maintains its simple three-knob HVAC controls, and a step down from there is the CD slot. In the center console, a gated gear shift surrounded by what looks like faux carbon-fiber trim or more satin gunmetal trim. We are excited by all the improvements that the new 2011 Dodge Charger will have and can’t wait to start getting them here at Landmark Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram.

Official News – 2011 Dodge Durango confirmed

Friday, August 13th, 2010

Rumors have been brewing of the New 2011 Dodge Durango since production stopped back in 2009. The name that was going to be used was one of the biggest questions but recently Dodge created a website with a sneak peak at the body lines and small elements of the next Durango’s design. Check it out.

The 2011 Durango shares the vast majority of its architecture from the new Jeep Grand Cherokee, and we expect both the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 and 5.7-liter Hemi V8 to be available underhood. Curiously, Dodge refers to the new Durango as a “three-row performance SUV” in its press release, which leads us to believe that Chrysler might have another trick or two up its sleeve. Durango SRT8? Makes sense, especially since the new 6.4-liter Hemi is slated for use in the New 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee. We also note that Dodge doesn’t appear to be playing up the Durango as an off-road model, either, at least where badging is concerned – instead of proclaiming the new model available with four-wheel drive, they’ve added an all-wheel drive badge.

Spy Shots:2012 Chrysler 300 – First Look

Monday, August 9th, 2010

The next Chrysler 300 has had some chiseling and wedging applied to its current stoic proportions. The perfectly horizontal shoulder line now sweeps up from a lower front end into a shorter decklid. The nearly perpendicular front and rear on the 2010 have also been reshaped, particularly in the rear. Detail-wise, only the mirrors appear to have carried over, with what looks like new headlight hardware in an angled design, LED taillights in back, an integrated exhaust treatment and new rear window glass.

Hot Rod for a Hero- Part 1- Landmark Dodge Chrysler Jeep – Atlanta

Hot Rod For a Hero—Top Secret

The North Georgia Mopar Club has been asked to lend a helping hand to one of our Atlanta Area Soldiers. This Army Soldier has toured Afghanistan and is presently stationed in Korea. He has a wife and two kids waiting for him to come home, hopefully we’ll have a restored ’66 Dodge Charger too!

Before he was deployed to fight for America’s freedom, he and his Dad began to restore a ’66 Charger. Needless to say, he hasn’t made much progress over the years, due to the present conditions in Afghanistan. His Dad decided to take the Charger to a local body shop, Midway Collision, and get it cleaned up to protect the body work from rusting. Boy did that change everything. The guys from Midway Collision spread the word to the right people about restoring the whole vehicle for this young soldier, now there is a full blown rotisserie restoration in the works.

Midway Collision reached out to the North Georgia Mopar Club for some help. Since then, Club Members, Non-Members, local businesses and even national businesses from all over the United States have donated labor, parts and money to practically restore the entire vehicle. Landmark Dodge Chrysler Jeep has donated Authentic MOPAR parts to knock off several much-needed pieces to this puzzle. If you would like to contribute, time is running out. The “Hot Rod for a Hero” has to be completed by February so time is ticking!

For more Information about how you can donate time, parts or money contact Joe Suchy at 770-964-4441 or email him at dinahandjoe@peoplepc.com .
